Action Techniques

-Revolucion Bohemia

If you want to take an extra step in researching your past lives, we can recommend some more techniques, what we call "Action Techniques", since they involve taking an active role in them.

One of them is, for example, going "Trigger Hunting". You know at this point what triggers are, right? If not I`ll tell you: a trigger is anything that make you have a past life memory. For example, if you see a certain building in the street that catches your eye, and you immediately have a flash of a similar building in another city you've never been to, the building you saw was the trigger for that past life flash. Having an idea  of a life you had back then, you can watch movies from the period/about the period, listen to music from those times, look at paintings, or even visit the places if you have the possibility. The trick is expose yourself as much as you can to things related to that life. Oftentimes the triggers are nothing related to that life and how our brain/soul works is weird, it still could help.

Something else, and related to this would, be to reenact situations. If you live in a country where reenactment groups are common and you remember a war, chances are that they are reenacting it somewhere. It would be of great help if you could join them, get your uniform and "re-live" those situations. This is hard though if you don't live in places where reenactments are common. You can do it in a similar way though if you know your past life job, if you remember being a philosopher you should read the same books you think you could have read back then and see what ideas come up, I often found philosophy books to be a great source of inspiration, and they trigger some weird ideas that might be past life related. Also, if you remember, I don`t know, working in a bakery for example, why don't you try to make bread at home?; If you remember being a soldier you could try to get firearms training; If you remember being a musician you can try to play that instrument again...you get the idea.

Something more passive that anyone can try is reading about reincarnation, especially other people´s stories. That can set you in the "right frame of soul" to remember. You can also read books on reincarnation, not for the "knowledge" that you might get from it, but just to be in the right disposition to remember. Be careful though because there's a lot of new age looney papers around. You can check our book section for the more sane approaches to the matter.

If you have the possibility, I would recommend to practice some Oriental activities like Tai Chi Chuan or Qi Gong.  They are great for feeling better and more spiritually aware. Any person can practice them.  No matter the age or physical condition, you can always get something out of it, always respecting your limitations and, of course, never forcing your body beyond it's limits. If you find a teacher close to your home that would be the best. Otherwise there are some videos online you can use to practice, but the result might not be the same if you haven't  had any experience before.

If you have a friend or relative whom you trust and who is willing to help you with your past life discovery, you can try the "interrogation" method. It consists in somebody asking you questions about the past and you trying to answer them as naturally as you can, without forcing your mind too much. You can also try to ask yourself questions, but I don' t think it works as well. I haven' t really tried this too much, but the very few times I did I was pleased with the results. The questions are not intended to be things like "What was your name?" or "Where were you from?" because chances are you will be just blank or come up with whatever. They have to be something that will make you start talking. If the other person already knows about your past life, better, because they will know what to ask. Could it work online too? Like in chat or something? Maybe...I don't see why not. It would be something similar to Automatic Writing, so obviously everything would have to be validated before being considered an actual memory.

Something else you can try is the Resonance Method, which is a very simple way to get past life feelings or open your mind to aid in your search. For example, look at a list of cities like: Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Toronto, Buenos Aires, and Berlin.

As you do this, try not to think about any conscious associations you may have for any of the cities on the list, but look into the background of your thoughts and see what your soul tells you about each one. If you are like most people, you will find that some of the cities have a special tug on you, while others are merely names on paper. Of course, you must also take into account conscious feelings that you have toward each city. For instance, on one hand you may feel that Paris has a special draw for you, but on the other you may have visited it many times, or been influenced by famous artists who lived there. Nonetheless, if you pay very careful attention to the whisperings of your psyche, you will find that there is still a background "something" that differentiates between even those cities you have logical reasons for feeling special about. You may have sensed it when you first visited the city, either as a pronounced déjà vu or simply as a subtle sense of familiarity or belonging. This is resonance.
